Dealer Recon Systems (DRS) — account and data deletion requests

← Back to Home

This page explains how to delete your Dealer Recon Systems account, how to request deletion of an entire dealership's data, what gets removed, and what we are legally required to keep.

App name: Dealer Recon Systems (DRS)
Developer: Dealer Recon Systems
Deletion requests: dealerreconsystems@gmail.com

1. Delete your own user account (in the app)

Any DRS user can permanently delete their own account directly in the app, without contacting us:

  1. Open DRS and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Scroll to Delete Account and tap it.
  4. Confirm your password, then tap Delete My Account.

This takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

  • Your user profile record
  • Your login credentials in Firebase Authentication
  • Your active sessions — you are signed out on all devices

What is not deleted

Dealership business records — vehicles, inventory, customer records, repair orders, and financial records — belong to the dealership, not to you as an individual user, so they are not removed when you delete your personal login. To have that data deleted, use the dealership-wide request below.

2. Request deletion of an entire dealership's data

If you are the owner or an authorized administrator of a dealership, email dealerreconsystems@gmail.com from the address associated with your DRS account and include:

  • Your dealership name
  • The email address on your DRS account
  • A statement that you are authorized to request deletion on the dealership's behalf
  • Whether you want a copy of your data exported before deletion

We verify that the request comes from an authorized party before acting on it. We acknowledge requests within 7 days and complete verified deletions within 30 days, except for records subject to the legal retention requirements in section 3.

Export your data first if you need it. After cancellation, you may request a copy of your data within 30 days. Once that window closes, data may be permanently deleted and may no longer be recoverable.

3. Data we must retain

Some records are kept after deletion because law or regulation requires it. These are retained only for the periods below, then deleted.

Full details are in section 7 of our Privacy Policy.

4. How deletion is carried out

Data is deleted using standard cloud provider deletion mechanisms. Google Firebase manages the physical destruction of storage media in accordance with its data security practices. Backups containing deleted data age out on their normal retention cycle.
